Week 4 Part B: Defining YOUR Target Market

The business I chose for this project is Crave Mini Donuts. It is a locally owned food trailer that serves mini donuts with over 20 flavors. This business is owned by my boyfriend's family and I have been helping run the social media for about a year now. This business is almost two years old and we have grown exponentially within that time!

Running the social media has been a challenge and a reward! Doing this, I discovered I love working in social media and I have a passion for it. When I first agreed to help, I didn't know how much I would love marketing this small business. I actually loved it so much that I changed my major and my whole career focus.

Crave is cute and modernized way of donuts. With a theme of hot pink and black, Crave mostly markets to trendy women of any ages. Although, the ratio of gender between customers stays pretty even, Crave's main theme is cute and tasty. With flavors catering to anyone, everybody loves our donuts! I think our target market is anyone who loves donuts! However, as of now, we do not offer vegan, gluten or dairy free options, so this limits customers. On our social media, the most interaction is between middle aged women. The allows us to create that focus on what will get their attention and for them to tell their friends. Over this past year, I really learned the importance of word of mouth and how important a good review can be. Another market we cater to is weddings or brides to narrow it down. A bride will look over social media to see what desserts she wants at her special day. Marketing this community is huge. Even things like bridal showers, baby showers, or bachelorette parties can make a huge difference!
